AMERICAN VOCALIST | SONGWRITER
FUNK, SOUL, R&B, ROCK AND POP INFLUENCES
Michelle Ann Owens is a blue-eyed blend of funk, soul, R&B, rock and pop, topped with raw, emotive vocals. Her sound is a retro modern vibe of real drums, bass, guitar, keys/organ and horns, featuring top musicians from all over the globe.
Her album “Chapter Vegas” features two original songs produced by Michael “Fish” Herring (Christina Aguilera, New Kids On the Block, Backstreet Boys, Tupac, Siedah Garrett), with her song “Funkin’ Beautiful” remixed by OG soulful house producer Eric Kupper (David Morales, Frankie Knuckes).
Her latest LP release, “FOUNDATIONS”, is a curated set of previously unreleased work for fans of nostalgia and early 2000’s R&B.
With a BMI affiliation as a songwriter and several years working as a tv music ghostwriter, Michelle’s original compositions have been on shows like The Kardashians, Big Brother, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Jersey Shore, Real Housewives of New Jersey, and America’s Next Top Model, among others. She’s also shared the stage with members of legendary music acts of The Doors, Deep Purple, Yes, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, and Bad Company.
Her bluesy, funky style earned her a Billboard Songwriting Award and a Los Angeles Music Award with her original band Ladyfox.
